Cherry American
Its red colouring makes cherry very popular. The wood has a marked degree of hardness.
The creamy sapwood differs from the reddish heartwood.
Over time exposure to sunlight causes the reddish wood to darken and become more intense. (Real wood)
3-strip
The typical look of a strip floor with three strips on one plank is reminiscent of a ship's deck.
The individual, short strips remain visible on the installed surface.
Balanced
The balanced grain, fine knots and occasional traces of sapwood create a surface that
is entirely reminiscent of nature.
Impregnated
The highly effective impregnation gives the surface better protection against the ingress of
moisture which is unintentionally left standing on the floor for a relatively long time.
This special oil/wax emulsion at the ends of the planks and staves prevents rapid penetration of the
surface by moisture. Every engineered parquet product from ter Hurne enjoys this particular luxury.
Lacquered surfaces
Lacquered floors have a light silky shimmer.
The multi-layered lacquer structure resists strong impacts, because it is both elastic and flexible.
The surface remains sealed and protected. Lacquer surfaces that are too hard and rigid
lead to clearly visible scratches.
These floors are particularly easy to care for.
